VICTORY PLUS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL VISITS WWF OFFICE TO LEARN ABOUT WILDLIFE
By: Sani Firmansyah (Supporter Center Officer WWF-Indonesia)
There was something different on Friday (01/02) at the WWF-Indonesia office, Graha Simatupang Building, South Jakarta. A group of students in white and plaid uniforms were enthusiastically looking around the meeting room. They were students from SD Victory Plus Bekasi. Sani Firmansyah as Supporter Center Officer and Primayunta as Supporter Engagement Coordinator welcomed them by providing various information about wildlife.
The students came to the WWF office to find out how big the role of wildlife in their natural habitat. "The existence of orangutans is very important, because without orangutans, the spread of plant seeds will be hampered and as a result the growth of trees in the forest will decrease so that in the end humans will feel the impact," said Primayunta when delivering the material.
The students looked enthusiastic when listening to the information presented. This can be seen by the number of students who asked questions. "Sir, how do we tell people to care about wildlife?" asked Kiki, a 6th grade student. "It's very easy. First, we want to learn and want to know information about the existence and condition of the wildlife. There are many sources. You can get one of them by learning together with WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile," Primayunta answered during the question and answer session.< br />
Although they are still young, these students are already concerned about the fate of wildlife. Their concern for the fate of wildlife in Indonesia can be seen from the conversation between students. "The rise of animal abuse in Indonesia confirms that justice for animals still cannot be enforced," said Mischa, a 6th grade student.
"Thank you WWF-Indonesia for giving our students the opportunity to visit the office and get a variety of very good information," said Agnes, a Victory Plus Elementary School teacher who accompanied the students.
