Jakarta (29/04)-In order to develop partnerships with business actors, WWF-Indonesia launched the "Corporate Club" at the Corporate Gathering themed "Symphony and Synergy for a Better Earth," Thursday (29/04) at Ballroom Pacific Place, Jakarta. Through this sustainable partnership initiative, WWF-Indonesia seeks to encourage business actors to implement environmentally friendly business practices as well as actively involve them in nature conservation efforts. Corporations that are members of WWF-Indonesia's Corporate Gathering theme, "Symphony and Synergy for Better Earth," Thursday (29/04) at Pacific Place, Jakarta.
Corporations that are members of the WWF-Indonesia Corporate Club automatically become part of the "green society" or community of environmentalists who are expected to echo the conservation mission and invite other communities to start implementing environmentally friendly practices. It is the valuable mission of WWF and its network of communities to initiate and be part of the change for a better future of the earth.
Chairman of the Board of WWF-Indonesia Kemal Stamboel stated, through the Corporate Club, it is expected that business actors can make environmentally friendly practices into a green policy developed in their respective companies.
"I hope that corporations that have joined the corporate club can implement a green policy in their company. Not only the business is run with environmentally friendly approaches, but also educate and involve their employees in efforts to preserve the environment," he added. Kemal also added that the company's employees are also involved in the environment conservation program.
Kemal also added that with the existence of Corporate Club, corporations who wish to be part of a movement to save the environment can get access to information about various conservation efforts carried out by WWF, so that they can more easily choose in which sector they will contribute.
WWF-Indonesia Corporate Club offers a mutually beneficial partnership program. In addition to enabling its members to be at the forefront of environmentally friendly business practices and a source of inspiration for other corporations to become "green companies," this sustainable partnership network also provides members with information about WWF events that enable them to get involved and play an active role. Environmental actions and sustainable initiatives undertaken by its corporate members will also be publicized on WWF Indonesia's Corporate Club website.
