PANDA MOBILE INTRODUCES THE IMPORTANCE OF PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT AT PAUD BENING, BOGOR

On Wednesday (08/02), there was something different at Bening Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Bogor City, West Java. The WWF-Indonesia Mobile Panda Team was invited to the school to educate the students with the theme "Let's Take Care of the Environment".
Arriving at PAUD Bening, the Panda Mobile team was greeted with curious glances from the students who were playing in the game area. About 250 students looked impatient to immediately start activities with Panda Mobile. A brief introduction to WWF-Indonesia started the day's activities. The Panda Mobile volunteers introduced themselves and explained the various conservation programs that have been carried out by WWF-Indonesia.
Next, Kak Iyan entertained the students with a story about a child who threw garbage in the forest. The children who listened to the story felt very entertained and listened carefully while occasionally laughing. Ciluk, the character in the tale, was said to always litter. "Sis, I don't want to be rich like Ciluk who likes to litter," shouted Asep, one of the PAUD Bening students. Seeing the enthusiasm of the students, Kak Iyan reminded them again, "Kids, so now you know, throw garbage in its place. That's not enough. You must dispose of waste according to its type, between organic and inorganic waste."
The event continued by watching the movies "Tiger Hunter", "We Are Connected", and "Banyu's Adventure in the Land of Water". One of the movies, which tells the story of the condition of animals living in the forest, shows that their lives are not much different from humans who live in cities. "Brothers and sisters, it turns out that we are almost the same as the animals that live in nature. When the forest fires or the sea is destroyed, they will feel sad, just like humans when their houses are damaged," explained Tata, one of Panda Mobile's volunteers.
The highlight of Panda Mobile's activities at PAUD Bening was playing "Orangutan" themed cricket. Participants were divided into three groups to play this game. "So, the orangutan is also called an arboreal animal because during its life it only lives in trees. But occasionally, he comes down from the trees too to look for food," explained Vita, Panda Mobile volunteer.
The whole series of Panda Mobile activities also received attention and appreciation from the teachers. "Thank you, brothers and sisters from WWF-Indonesia Panda Mobile for the opportunity to come and educate our children at school. There is a lot of information about the environment that we can learn. Hopefully later we can support the conservation efforts of WWF-Indonesia," said Niken, one of the HRD staff of Bening PAUD Foundation.
