On Friday (20/01), Panda Mobile was invited to educate the students of SD Harapan Bangsa in Modern Hill, Pondok Cabe. At the same time, the school was holding a Technology & Science Festival. The hope is that Panda Mobile's presence can enliven the festival and provide new knowledge and experiences.< br />
The activity began with the introduction of WWF-Indonesia to the students. There were about 236 students who participated in this activity. The volunteers explained about the umbrella animals that are the focus of WWF-Indonesia's conservation work. On this occasion, they explained about the benefits and ecological functions of umbrella animals such as Sumatran elephants, Sumatran tigers, orangutans, Javan rhinos, sea turtles, and whale sharks.
After that, the students were divided into groups to do different activities. Groups consisting of students in grades 1-2 conducted water observations and got information about various living things in water (bacteria, algae, fungi, and plankton). The information was displayed in the form of images that could be viewed from a screen connected to a microscope.
Water observation is also packaged in a fun way.
At the same time, a group of 5th and 6th graders watched the movie "Quartet Of The Crossroad". After the movie, the Panda Mobile volunteers volunteers explained the story of the movie and then asked some questions about the movie. Through this activity, the students were able to understand how important it is to protect endangered animals so that they will continue to be sustainable in the future.
