Located at Wisata Alam Paradise, Telukjambe Barat, Karawang, WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile again educated the younger generation about the environment. The presence of WWF-Indonesia's education truck on Saturday (09/04) was at the invitation of Indonesian Generations Leading Our World (IGLOW). The group that aims to help and prepare Indonesia's young generation to play a central role in national development involved 120 participants consisting of MTS, SMA, and SMK students.
The participants were invited to develop their potential and be inspired by their commitment to care for the environment. One of the ways is through sharing delivered by WWF-Indonesia's Panda Mobile team. The Panda Mobile volunteers delivered material about the conservation efforts that have been carried out by WWF-Indonesia as well as an explanation of the various umbrella animals that are the focus of WWF-Indonesia's conservation work.
After the introduction, the participants were divided into separate groups in two sessions. The first session was filled with group discussions about the environment. The young generation of the nation's hope discussed various environmental issues, one of which is the problem of waste. They were also invited to discuss Environment Leadership through a game called "Spaceship". In this game, they were trained to make decisions about saving sustainable natural resources in the face of a degraded earth. The results of the discussion were then presented in groups.
Not only through discussions, the Panda Mobile team also invited IGLOW participants to care about the environment through a storytelling from Kak Iyan. At the end of the event, a movie titled The Man which tells the story of animal exploitation for human consumption aroused their concerns. Through the various materials presented by the Panda Mobile team, hopefully there will be more prospective national leaders who care about environmental sustainability.
