Amkieltiela co-chairs #XPDCSULTRA with Christian Novia. In a workshop at the beginning of the expedition, Tiela trained all researchers on the ecological research methods used. The woman who is familiarly called Tiela graduated from the Biology Department at the University of Indonesia in 2010 with a specialization in Marine Biology. In 2011, Tiela started her career as CEO secretary at the Research Center for Climate Change - University of Indonesia (RCCC-UI). In 2011, Tiela joined WWF-Indonesia as WWF-Indonesia's Marine Liaison Officer until 2014. Tiela's career continued as Marine Science and Knowledge Management Officer, since 2014 until now, under the Marine Conservation Science division.
Tiela's main responsibility is to manage knowledge related to MPA and biodiversity through strengthening ecological data collection and scientific reports, including supporting the provision of literature needed by colleagues in the field and providing training for staff capacity building to support the achievement of WWF-Indonesia's Coral Triangle program targets. Tiela also ensures that the data collected is well documented and stored and helps colleagues in the field to disseminate their activities through writing articles that will be published on the WWF-Indonesia website.
