Ira is a lecturer at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK) of Universitas Halu Oleo (UHO) Kendari who is a member of the Fisheries Team in XPDCSULTRA. She holds a master's degree in Marine Science from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), having previously completed her undergraduate education in Marine Science at Hasanuddin University in 2005. Ira is also a member of the Management of the Indonesian Oceanology Bachelor Association (ISOI) Kendari Regional Commissariat for the 2014-2017 Period.

On campus, not only teaching, Ira is also active as a supervisor of various Student Creativity Programs (PKM) initiated by her students, for the past five years. The woman who was born in Makassar, South Sulawesi, also served as the UHO FPIK Internal Quality Assurance System Quality Document Revision Team. In #XPDCSULTRA, Ira acts as a fisheries profile researcher who interviews fishermen in targeted villages along the coast of Southeast Sulawesi.
