PANDA MOBILE'S ROLE IN YOUTH AND THE ENVIRONMENT

In the International Youth Forum 2017 that took place at Universitas Negeri Jakarta on Thursday (09/02), Panda Mobile took part. The event themed "The Importance of Soft Skills Within 21stCentury" was attended by Mr. Universal Ambassador 2016 -Aleksa Gavrilovic from Siberia, Mr. Tourism World 2016 -Okkar Min Maung from Myanmar, and also Mr. Teen International 2016 -William Gunawan from Indonesia as speakers. This forum aims to prepare Indonesian youth, not only with hard skills but also with soft skills.
In this forum, there were around 200 Indonesian youths from several universities who came to participate. The event started with the opening by the rector of Universitas Negeri Jakarta and continued with the beating of gongs by Prof. Dr. Djaali (Rector of UNJ) and Mr. Aleksa Gavrilovic as a sign of the start of this forum. Next, each speaker delivered their presentation. In accordance with the theme, each speaker presented their soft skills. After that, a question and answer session was also opened.
After the performance of UNJ students who performed regional songs in Indonesia, the team from Panda Mobile WWF-Indonesia also had the opportunity to make a presentation. The material raised is soft skills which is obtained by becoming a volunteer Panda Mobile. Mecca and Tata, volunteers Panda Mobile explained about environmental education as a soft skill obtained by becoming a volunteer Panda Mobile.
The opportunity was also used to explain about WWF-Indonesia's educational truck called Panda Mobile. The forum participants also shared information about the history of WWF and various conservation efforts carried out by WWF in Indonesia. Mecca and Tata then explained about the umbrella animals that are the focus of WWF-Indonesia's conservation.
One of the animals highlighted in the Panda Mobile presentation that day was the Sumatran tiger through an explanation of the #Doubletigers campaign. The two Panda Mobile volunteers explained why the Sumatran tiger population is declining and also the various efforts that WWF-Indonesia has made to overcome it.
