Wita graduated as a Bachelor of Marine Science from Diponegoro University in 2010. In 2008-2010 she was an assistant for the Toward Sustainable Dolphin-Watching program in Bali in collaboration with doctoral students from James cook university Australia.
She joined WWF-Indonesia in 2011 as a Fisheries Assistant Solor-Alor Project. Then Wita rejoined WWF-Indonesia in August 2015 until now as Community Marine and Business Tourism Assistant in East Seram, Maluku. Wita is responsible for mentoring and strengthening the capacity of local communities and indigenous institutions, encouraging cooperation between cruise ships and indigenous institutions, and linking community work with relevant government programs, so that the community is able to become a pillar of marine tourism development in the region.
In the Koon Expedition, Wita took part in recording charismatic animal data and dive site characteristic data for the Index of Tourism Suitability (IKW).
